Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM has a strong presence in Thailand, which has been a member state of IOM since 1986. In Thailand, IOM is active in a number of different areas, including labor migration, counter-trafficking, and migrant health.

Southeast Asia START Regional Center

The Southeast Asia START Regional Center is the regional research node of the Southeast Asia Regional Committee for START (System for Analysis, Research and Training). START is a global network that supports multidisciplinary research on the interactions between humans and the environment, including climate change scenarios and impacts in Southeast Asia as well as climate change vulnerability and adaptation on various systems and sectors.

United Nations University, Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS)

UNU-EHS, established in December 2003, is part of the United Nations University system, a worldwide network of research and training Institutes. Its mission is to advance human security through knowledge-based approaches to reducing vulnerability and environmental risks. Through interdisciplinary research, UNU-EHS examines the impacts of major drivers affecting human security, such as rapid- and gradual-onset environmental change – including climate change.
